How Warranty Activation Works on Move-In Day

Your inverter backup system warranty is activated the same day you move into your home, alongside your fibre connectivity activation. On this day:

  • A technician is on-site to activate both the inverter system and its warranty.
  • The technician provides basic training on how to use the system.
  • Your mobile application for monitoring the inverter is set up on your device.
  • You receive a basic user manual with guidance for system failures or faults.

The standard system uses a Sunsynk 5kW inverter paired with a 5.12kWh battery where both are present. The inverter's power rating is well above what a geyser element draws (normally 3000–4000W), so power output isn't the limiting factor, battery capacity is. 

Running a geyser element continuously on a 5.12kWh battery would use up the charge in around 1.5 hours, leaving less capacity for lighting, wifi, and security systems during longer outages. Because of this, geysers are generally left off the backup circuit selection in standard setups, though this can vary by installation.
